The Government of Gabon had taken considerable measures in preparation for the African Cup of Nations tournament taking place in 2012 in Libreville and Franceville. As part of the preparations, many actions were taken to enhance the security of the venues, dignitaries, teams and spectators. Lotan HLS & Defense is proud to say that it has been part of the synergic process beginning with the threat and risk assessments (September 2009) intended to map out the existing security means, map out the challenges facing the security forces and give a set of recommendations to deal with the defined threats. Once this was done we had designed the General Security Master Plan intended to present the concept integrating Human Resources and Technological means into an effective force. The first phase of the project ended with the design of a general RFP which mapped out the technologies needed to protect each set of venues on a tactical level and to provide for a strategic solution overseeing a successful end to the games.
Airports with access to Lotan's recommended technology, procedures and expert personnel have taken a major step in mitigating terror and the negative publicity that it generates. The key element of your new advanced warning system would be the expansion of your first layer of security, consisting of primary intelligence and Risk-Assessment. This lower cost method aims at Predictive Passenger Screening & Predictive Freight Screening systems that together constitute a focused, efficient and highly effective security process.
